Illustration and design layout
for ‘1884’ - an immersive
game-theatre show inspired by the 1884 Berlin Conference and overlooked anti-colonial resistance movements created by Coney & Rhianna llube.
Coney is a renowned charity working at the intersection of arts and social change. They invited me to collaborate on the visual identity for 1884, an anti-colonial immersive game-theatre production co-created by Coney and Rhianna llube. Following its initial success, the show has been revived this year under the new company name, Koro Productions.
Working closely with the Coney team, I developed an illustrated identity that captured the atmosphere and essence of the show while preserving the secrecy of its narrative. The design outputs included an A3 poster, artwork for a wraparound event banner at Shoreditch Town Hall, an A5 flyer, and digital assets such as web and social media banners.
